Founded in 1988 by Tom Gross and Jerome Boucher to clear PTI phone line right-of-ways, T.J.'s has grown into one of the most respected land clearing companies in Alaska.

In late winter 1988, T.J.'s Clearing (as it was then called) took on its first job a — 3.5-mile stretch of phone line right-of-way. They only had basic tools, and the job proved to be a "cold learning experience." However, they learned from their mistakes and went on to complete jobs all over Alaska — from Homer to the Canadian border.

In 1997 Jerome made the decision to pursue other business interests and T.J.'s Clearing was dissolved. However, Tom was not ready to leave the business and in short order he started a new company — T.J.'s Land Clearing.

Since that time T.J.'s Land Clearing has secured and completed many substantial contracts including the 105-mile GVEA Northern Intertie Project, military contracts on Fort Wainwright and Eielson Air Force Base, and numerous residential subdivisions and commercial projects.

This site — tjslandclearing.com — was built and is currently maintained by Will Quintal.
